With all my goal races over for this year and not much time left in 2013 I’ve been planning my first goal race for 2014. With my work the way it is this time of year it’s realistically February before I can commit to a race that takes me away from home.
With the help of www.runningcalendar.com.au I’ve found two races that I’m considering. The are Orange Colour City Running Festival 42.2Km 23rd February and Up The Buff 25km Trail Race – Currumbin Valley QLD 23rd March. I’ll also do the Port Macquarie Half Marathon March 9th.
There is also a chance I’ll be in Korea around the time of the Seoul International Marathon on 16th March. I’ve always wanted to run a big city marathon in another country and this certainly is a big marathon with 20000+ competitors in the marathon. It also finishes in the 1988 Olympic stadium where Gelindo Bordin won the gold for Italy. If I get the chance I’d love to run this marathon.
Up until then I’ve got my local triathlon club sprint distance races and whatever races I choose to do I’ll be enjoying my running.
