Our online running coaching service is designed to help runners over a variety of distances ranging from middle distance to the ultra marathon and a training approach developed from over 20 years of personal experience.
In my own training I prescribe a flexible approach to training that allows life’s challenges to compliment my training load. My philosophy promotes regularity of workouts over time for incremental improvement. While I have key workouts that are performed consistently and mileage targets over time I believe flexibility and the ability to alter schedule if and when needed is vital to keeping an athlete motivated to achieve their best result.
I believe in creating overarching goals for race training blocks and committing to the process to achieve these goals. I believe a running training program should be fluid with other aspects of the athletes life balance and tailor training plans that fit best into the individual’s life. I don’t believe in a calendar of training laid out over months and prefer a two way weekly communication to best suit the runners needs. My goal is to provide a training plan that allows the runner to get everything they want out of running.
My philosophy of running training involves completing three key workouts on a regular basis, usually weekly that build strength, endurance and speed in conjunction with regular aerobic running. We will also incorporate an athlete specific mileage target, which builds till the athlete is able to maintain over a performance block of running.
